A Soothing Modern Living Room Mood Board

I am currently in the process of helping a friend design and style the interior of his new home. It's a particularly exciting experience as he is starting from scratch, with no furniture but a mattress coming over from his previous apartment. He sought my advice about what items to get, and how to pull everything together.

After much shopping together, online and in store, the living room is starting to take shape.

He wants a soothing, modern and professional looking space in which he can relax as well as entertain friends and clients. We share a love of modern furniture items with clean lines and mid-century influenced design, so working together was a breeze!
